Teachers and Support Staff
Love them or loathe them you can’t get through school without teachers. Hopefully, you’ll get on well with all of the teachers and support staff you’ll work with during your time at Slough Grammar School. They’re all looking forward to getting on and working well with you - that’s why they’re here. Teachers have spent years learning to teach because that’s what they want to do, they want to help give you and your friends the education you’ll need if you’re to make it out there in the big wide world. So, teachers and support staff are here for you, but that doesn’t make them yours. They have lots of pupils and students to help and they’ll try to give as much as they can to each and every one of you. But remember, they need your help if they are to help you. Good behaviour and discipline, a keenness to get on and learn, and the ability to listen and act upon your teachers instructions will reward you well.
Our excellent teaching and support staff offer you a valuable resource. Use it, but don’t abuse it. Teachers and support staff are people too. Just like you they appreciate a little respect and thoughtfulness. And, just like you, they want you to do well, to do the best you can, so that you can follow your dreams. So, right now, commit to becoming a good part of the school and to doing your best - reach for the stars! |
We’re here to help you learn and get an education, but don’t forget that you can help yourself too! Being punctual for classes, paying attention, asking questions and getting involved in class discussions will help you learn, and that’s why you’re here.
