Slough Grammar School
Parents : Your Role
Your Role

Your role, in relation to your child’s time at the school is one of support and encouragement. If your child is to achieve their potential they will need help, at home as well as in school and that’s what we ask of you; to provide constant, on-going support and encouragement.

Our “In Partnership” page explains some of the formal ways in which you should be involved. You should also visit our home/school agreement page where you will be able to download an agreement form which you will need to sign and return to us, if you haven’t already done so. And, because help and cooperation is a two-way street, we added a useful links for parents page where you’ll find links to all sorts of information, from helping with homework to dealing with teenagers.

Beyond the home school agreement and your own work in encouraging your child, there are other ways you can participate in school life. We have an active parent teacher association and a busy board of governors, both of which you might consider joining. You may have the skills, and the time, to consider helping us in other ways too, as an individual or perhaps through your business. If you have any ideas we’d be glad to hear them, we welcome the active involvement of parents wherever possible.

If you have any questions, or have something to offer please contact us.

"Hi, I'm Bethany and I'm in year 8. When my parents first came to the school, they really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere that's around."
