Achievement and success
We have learned from experience that clearly defined goals backed by innovation and effort will bring success. This is a belief we hold firm at Slough Grammar School, indeed an ethos that promotes a positive approach and achievement is one that we foster and encourage throughout the school. We are proud of our record as a centre of excellence and we are equally proud to uphold the traditions of the grammar school: expectations of the highest possible attainment, expectations of the hard work and commitment from all, and expectations of behaviour which allows effective learning and teaching to take place. Perhaps the greatest delight is that pupils and staff live up to these expectations every day.
We are thrilled to be able to list so many solid achievements. We believe our record of success speaks volumes about the school. The efforts of our pupils, staff and parents are all reflected in what we have achieved and we thank everyone that has helped us realise our goals.
We won’t be stopping there!...
We have instigated the presence of a post-graduate researcher from Brunel University to investigate linguistics and literacy for the period 2003 – 2005.
We are a member of the Slough Creative Partnership Group.
We are introduced an International Baccalaureate Diploma to the school.
And, from 2003 onwards we have taken leadership of the Slough Primary Modern Languages Programme.
That’s quite a list - almost takes your breath away doesn’t it! But we won’t become complacent, we love what we do and we love doing it well so, as they say – watch this space. Our list of achievement and success is going to get longer! |
